You can even use your own OpenAI API key, which can give you a quicker and smoother experience, although you’ll need to connect a credit card for the API key to work in native mode.

Keep in mind that MacGPT is designed to run on macOS Monterey and Ventura, as it utilizes the latest APIs. Some features, like MacGPT Inline, may not work in every application, but the developer is on the case trying to find solutions. Since MacGPT connects directly to OpenAI servers, it also can’t manage any proxy server blocks.
