If you want to get rid of any nodes you don't need, a quick press of the 'delete' key will do the trick.

Not only does Fuzzy Flo let you manage nodes, but it also offers similar functionality for managing edges. You can select an edge, choose to remove it, or simply cancel the action if you change your mind. To make your workflow even smoother, pressing 'escape' will easily cancel any ongoing actions you might be working on.
